One brand for twenty tools: how we keep it consistent

When you build a tool a month, the risk is not bad taste, it is scatter: twenty interfaces that look nothing alike, twenty ways to draw a button. So we wrote a short brand guide and apply it everywhere — including this members area.

The palette

A primary blue (#4764AC) for action, a cyan (#3FBEEE) for accents and active states, a navy (#0F1F3D) for dark backgrounds and “members only” badges, a grey (#9D9D9C) for secondary content. On the showcase site the blue shifts to #2173d0 / #0693E3 to stand out on white. The logo comes in two versions, one of them (“BB”) made for dark backgrounds — that is the one used by Medialy, Inkread and the cockpit.

The shared skeleton

All web tools of the Suite share the same code base: login page, settings, layout, e-mails, signed links. It was born in Retroplanning, forged in ProjectNaming, then copied six times for the satellites. As a result, a design fix propagates, and a new tool is born already dressed.

Recurring components

  • The card: thin #e6ebf3 border, 16 px radius, very light shadow. You see it on the showcase and the software pages.
  • The button: solid blue, 11 px radius, bold text; its “ghost” variant on #eef3fb for secondary actions.
  • The status badge: idea, in development, beta, available — four colours, never more.
  • System typography, except for long reading (Inkread: Inter + JetBrains Mono).

What it changes

A client going from Scoper to Bench to Retroplanning never feels like changing house. And for us, every new tool starts with form and colour already settled: we can focus on what it does.
